On the second Thursday of September and January and the first Thursday of the other months from 9:00 a.m. - 3 p.m. women meet to work on a variety of projects. One of the major projects has been making drawstring bags to be used for school kits or health kits that are sent all over the world by Mennonite Central Committee. Last year we turned out 550 of these. Another major undertaking is the making of comforters. Using donated fabric; blocks are cut, arranged, sewed and tied for auctions, emergency kits, nursing homes, Silverton Hospital, Crisis Pregnancy Centers and each new baby at Zion. We have also done thorough cleaning of the kitchen... At 11:00 we break for a business meeting, devotional and prayer. This is followed by a carry-in meal at noon. No meetings are held in July and August.
