Church Library
Zion Mennonite Church has a long tradition of supporting an exceptional church library with a dedicated staff and outstanding collection of books. Annual Report, 2005 There was good response to our first Summer Reading Club. Approximately forty children from age 3 through eighth grade were enrolled with about half of that number completing the 10 hours of reading to qualify for a new book reward. It was good to see their enthusiasm and to know that quality time was being spent by them and the parents who encouraged them. We hope to make improvements in the program with even more participating in the future. About seventy new and donated books have been added to our inventory. Included in these are a number of volumes requested by the Peace and Justice group to help encourage and promote peace issues. We continue to add the Believers Bible Commentaries as they become available, a number of these being written by Mennonite writers. And, as always, we encourage all to make use of the library for study, research, or personal enjoyment.
